The New Toyota Venza 2009

Whichever label you want to give it, the new Toyota Venza appears like a winner.
Think of the Venza as a station wagon and you'll probably get the point. Of course, it does not look precisely like any station wagon we've seen before. Unveiled at Detroit's North American International automobile show in Jan, Venza drew heaps of attention. Among vehicles currently available, it reminds us most of the Ford Edge crossover.
There's plenty of the Lexus RX350 in this Toyota, too, though the Venza is pressed down nearer to the ground, and sleeker. Its front end is taller, but definitely molded in the theme of Toyota's current Camry sedan. The Venza's rear glass has a nice, long rake, and its taillights wrap around the rear fenders onto the hatch. Its standard wheels measure 19 inches in diameter, whilst 20-inch spoked alloys are optional. In sum, the Venza is an example of the more hunky, engaging cars Toyota has launched in a little time.
A look at its dimensions brings the crossover label into proportion. At 109.3 inches and 189 inches, respectively, the Venza's wheelbase and overall length match both Bell Road Toyota's Camry sedan and Highlander sport-utility inside fragments of an in. Put simply, the Venza's footprint on the pavement matches both Camry and Highlander closely. Yet with an overall height of 63.4 inches, the Venza slots right in the middle of the Camry and Highlander. It's ride height falls somewhere in the middle, too.
The 2009 Venza seats 5, like the Camry, instead of 7 like the Highlander. Its rocker height, or the lip around the base of its passenger doorways, is low, making it simple to lift feet within, yet the hip point for seated occupants is higher than the typical sedan's. The mix should deliver a mix many buyers seek : straightforward ingress and egress, with a higher seating position for an enhanced view around tall cars on the road.
The 2009 Venza should reach showrooms with the traditional model year changeover in early fall 2008. It'll be built at Toyota's assembly plant in Georgetown, Kentucky.

The Toyota Supra

The Toyota Supra is a legendary sports car which has appeared in action movies such as The Fast and the Furious, as well as racing video games such as Gran Turismo. Toyota, the manufacture of the Supra, produced the car between nineteen seventy nine and two thousand and two. Initially the Supra was the Celica Supra, a larger derivative of the Toyota Celica. In nineteen eighty six, seven years into its production, the Supra broke away from the Celica to become its very own model, simply the "Toyota Supra".
The styling of the Supra is obviously derived from the Celica, and also the older 2000GT which was produced in the late sixties. The front engined Supra had its own logo which has changed over the years. Initially the logo was similar to that of the Celica, but now it's very sporty, aggressive, and distinctive, mirroring the characteristics of the car. There have been numerous rumours over recent years regarding the possible revival of the Supra with the introduction of a Mark V. Many online and printed publications stated the car would be released in two thousand and eight, but Toyota said this was untrue.
The last generation before the car was discontinued in two thousand and two was the Supra MK 4. Full production of the MK 4 began in nineteen ninety three, with the car being much more refined compared to the previous generations, and of greater performance. The body of the car was much more rounded than previous variations, and the engines were changed. The Japan based model had an engine which was capable of an output of over two hundred and seventy break horse power. This Japanese model could also reach zero to sixty miles per hour in the mid four seconds.

Toyota Corolla is the World's Best-Selling Car?

Exportation of the Toyota Corolla from Japan to the United States began in March of 1968. At the time, this compact car was available as a two door coupe, a four door sedan or a two door wagon. The 1.1 liter 4 cylinder engine with 4 speed manual transmission provided the power, at the time, to the smallest car Toyota had ever introduced to the American marketplace. Since then, the original simple design and reliable mechanical engineering of the Corolla have served as the foundation for many future generations of this car which went on to become the most popular car line in automotive history. With the exception of the Land Cruiser, the Corolla is the oldest Toyota model still manufactured and produced as of the 2007 model year.
The Toyota Corolla is the world's best-selling car ever, with more than 30 million sold across ten distinct generations. Although the car hasn't been sold in the UK since February 2007, as it was superseded here by the Auris, it continues to be sold in overseas markets. The Corolla owes it popularity to the fact that owning one is utterly painless, if not especially rewarding. Cheap to buy and run, the cars have always been unfailingly reliable, astonishingly well equipped and supremely practical. However, even when offered in enthusiast guise, the cars have tended to be not especially well received by the press. That hasn't deterred millions of buyers from selecting the Corolla though, because the cars have always excelled where it matters.
The Corolla is a true mixed bag of a car. On the one hand it's dull in its interior and exterior design as well as unexciting (if competent) dynamically. But it's practical, reliable, economical and very easy to live with - and that one latter point is enough to swing it for many people. Around 30 million of them in fact. Which just goes to show that to build a successful car, you don't need to create something with any particular flair.
No car has ever sold in greater quantities than the Toyota Corolla, and while that's because there were nine different generations sold in the UK before it was superseded by the Auris in 2007, it's also because the Corolla has always had much to offer. However, despite being one of the easiest cars to own, the Corolla is far from perfect; such unfailing reliability comes at a price.
Accurately describing the Corolla using purely positive terms is not an easy task; this is definitely a vehicle which was designed as an appliance rather than as something to excite the senses. Face lifted cars (post-June 2004) are a bit less bland and a bit more modern than earlier editions, but there isn't much in it.
You'd think that a 1.4-liter turbo diesel would be far too weedy to allow a relatively large car like the Corolla to perform with any alacrity. However, with 89bhp on tap and a useful 140lb ft of torque, you can make decent progress with the D-4D - things are helped enormously by the more competent handling that the car enjoys over its predecessors. The car's top speed is 112mph while its 0-60mph time is 13.3 seconds.
TOYOTA COROLLA TYPES
Dec 2001: The new, ninth-generation Corolla hatch and Corolla Verso (estate) went on sale. There was a choice of 1.4, 1.6 or 1.8-litre petrol engines along with a 2.0-litre turbo diesel unit.
Sep 2002: A saloon was introduced, but few were sold in the UK.
Jun 2004: A face lifted Corolla was now available, with a revised nose and tail plus better equipment levels. At the same time, the 1.4 D-4D replaced the previous 2.0 D-4D turbo diesel.
Nov 2005: A supercharged Corolla went on sale. Aimed at the enthusiast, the car wasn't especially well received as its dynamics were not especially convincing.
DID YOU KNOW?
- Toyota uses various translations of the word 'crown' for its key models. The name Corolla is taken from the Latin for 'small crown'.
- Over the years there have been numerous Corolla spin-offs, including the Corolla Ceres, Corolla Levin and Corolla Matrix, as well as the Corolla Verso, Corolla Rumion and Corolla Spacio. However, not all models have referenced the Corolla originals. These include the Sprinter Trueno, Allex and Blade.
- The Corolla has also been available via other car manufacturers. Over the years, the car has also been offered as the Holden Nova, Chevrolet Nova, Chevrolet Prizm and Geo Prizm.

Best Toyota Camry Parts

Automobiles are very complicated pieces of machinery. Most people don't stop to consider the inner workings of their car as long as it works fine and gets them where they're going. Of course, when something does go wrong, it's handy to be familiar with the major working parts of a car. You may think that cars are gross, oily beasts or that the details of cars just aren't for you. However, there are some interesting car parts that can appeal to anyone intrigued by technology and human ingenuity. Think about the word "automobile" for a moment. When they were first invented, it was incredible that something could move on its own, without being drawn by animals.
Today, we live in a world of aircraft, robotics, and even space shuttles, but we can still tap into that basic wonder in order to learn more about automobiles and what makes them work. Plus, ever since the first Model T rolled out, cars have become more complex, so there's that much more to learn. Even a car that is considered pretty basic has a lot going on, both inside and outside. What Toyota Camry parts might be interesting to learn about?
Electronics are a particular area of recent advancement in car development. The standard alarm systems are one of the most important examples of modern electronics in a car. Most modern systems actually involve a small computer that runs the show. The computer can determine if someone has tampered with the car's electrical system or cut off the main battery. If the main battery is cut, the alarm can still go off due to its auxiliary power source. This is an example of how car alarms have adapted to the techniques of criminals. Much, much more could be said about modern alarm systems. Like some other Toyota parts, they are more complex than they initially appear.
Even a car's glass can be fascinating. An interesting adaptation is the high solar energy absorbing (HSEA) glass that now comes standard along with other Toyota Camry parts. This enhanced glass can save on air conditioning by reducing the accumulation of heat inside the car. The glass is great at preventing solar energy from penetrating inside, much like tinted glass. Laws that vary by state limit the darkness of glass allowed on vehicles, so the qualities of HSEA glass are that much more important because they function without limiting visibility.
A more technical aspect of a running car is the PCV system. High pressure gases rich with hydrocarbons are found in the combustion chamber of a running engine. Small amounts of gas inevitably leak into the crankcase. Long ago, these fumes were allowed to diffuse into the atmosphere from engine oil. For environmental and functional reasons, the crankcase needs a ventilation system. The PCV system recycles the gas back into the engine intake where it can burn as fuel. The PCV valve controls the amount that goes back into the intake. At idle, the mixture of air and fuel is very delicate, and few vapors are allowed back in. At higher speeds, the valve can recycle more vapors. Keeping the PCV valve in good working condition is an important part of running a safe and environmentally respectable Camry.
These days, you can find all types of Toyota Camry parts online. This makes it easier to discover what kinds of car parts exist, so you can look them up and learn more about them. It also makes it simple to order replacement Toyota Camry parts or to purchase new parts and accessories to improve or customize your vehicle. With some research and effort, relatively small adjustments can be made to really improve the performance and feel of a car. Of course, in some cases, it's inconvenient or expensive to order Toyota Camry parts through local car shops, and that's why so many automobile websites have sprung up. Check them out and learn more about the complicated piece of machinery that is the Toyota Camry!

3rd Generation 2010 Toyota Prius

King Toyota presents the third generation Toyota Prius i.e. the much awaited 2010 model with upgraded amenities and features. King Toyota was established in 1968 and over forty years later, King Toyota is still known as one of the leaders in the automotive industry. King Toyota's mission is to focus their entire organization in delivering outstanding customer service that exceeds the customer's expectations. Hence King Toyota believes in getting the latest models of their customers' favorite cars to them at the earliest.
Celebrated as the benchmark for cars of the future, the midsize third-generation 2010 Toyota Prius hybrid car will offer
• Better mileage ratings,
• Enhanced performance, and
• Innovative design features.
It will be quieter, roomier, and equipped with advanced standard and available features such as a moon roof with solar panels, four driving modes, Intelligent Parking Assist (IPA) and steering wheel touch controls that display on the instrument panel.
The Prius extends its record of continuous improvement in fuel economy. Using a combination of technologies, fuel efficiency was increased to an estimated 50 miles per gallon for the new Prius. A larger and more powerful 1.8-liter Atkinson-cycle, four-cylinder engine will power the new Prius. Being a hybrid, the Prius can run on engine alone, battery alone, or a combination of both.
The redesigned exterior of the new Prius has front and rear corners that are sharp, sporty and aerodynamic. Strong side character lines, rising from front to rear, define the glazed geometric shape. The solar powered ventilation system uses an electrically powered air circulation fan that does not require engine assist. This prevents the interior air temperature from rising while the vehicle is parked, making the cool-down time shorter when the driver returns to the vehicle, thus reducing the use of air conditioning.
When the driver touches the audio or info switch located on the steering wheel, a duplicate image is displayed on the instrument panel, directly in front of the driver. This system, called Touch Tracer, is the first system in the world to allow steering wheel controls to read out on the instrument panel. The ECO indicator on the Multi-Informational Display (MID) provides driver feedback and guides the driver to optimize their skills for lower fuel consumption.
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control system, using advanced millimeter wave radar, is an available option. The system also enables Lane Keep Assist, which helps the driver stay safely within the lane. Next-generation Intelligent Parking Assist features simplified settings to help guide the car into parking spaces. Bluetooth Technology and Navigation System are some of the many other options that add to the comfort and convenience features in the Prius.

The New 2009 Toyota Venza

Sitting on the Camry's 109.3-in.-wheelbase platform, it is slightly shorter but 3.3 in. wider and 5.5 in. taller. Its 70.1 cu. ft. of EPA-spec cargo volume and 108 cu. ft. of total passenger volume are far greater than the Camry's yet far short of the more utilitarian Highlander's 95.4 and 145.7 cu. ft. Its closest competitor is probably Nissan's stylish Murano.
The exterior begins with a bold face led by a distinctive grille, headlamps and standard fog lamps. The body shape is aerodynamic, with short overhangs, forward-sweeping A-pillars, crisp character lines and a low roofline. The rear is dominated by an angled rear hatch and capped by a functional spoiler and wide wraparound taillamps that connect with the hatch door. Flared fenders, large wheel openings and standard 19-in. wheels and tires (20-in. on V-6 models) provide an aggressive, sure-footed look.
Inside, Venza's standard "Optitron" speedometer and tachometer and multi-color instrument panel can be decorated with available satin mahogany faux wood trim. The standard dual-zone automatic climate system's controls are centrally located on the upper console for easy access. Cargo utility is enhanced by standard fold-down 60/40 rear seats, with one-touch levers and a tonneau cover.
Venza is offered in a single grade with a choice of front-and all-wheel drive and eight option packages--Tow Prep, Security, Convenience, Lighting, Leather, Comfort and two Premium packages--and just four stand-alone options. Those are JBL premium audio, navigation, a power tilt/slide Panoramic Glass Roof with a separate fixed glass panel over the rear seats, and rear-seat DVD entertainment with a nine-inch display, JBL Synthesis surround sound, two wireless headphones, a remote, an auxiliary mini-jack, a 120-volt outlet and RCA mini-jacks. One industry first is a multi-information display with adjustable font size and content, and the nav system is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
The standard six speaker audio system includes a six-disc in-dash CD changer, satellite radio and MP3/WMA playback capability. The optional 13-speaker JBL Synthesis surround sound system adds hands-free Bluetooth wireless phone capability with or without the voice-activated, touch-screen DVD navigation, which adds music streaming and XM NavTraffic.
Among the Venza's key standard features are privacy glass, roof-mounted XM Satellite Radio antenna, a tilt/telescopic steering wheel with integrated audio controls and Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), which temporarily applies the brakes on uphill slopes to ensure easy starting with no rollback. The adjustable center console has a sliding cover and armrest, three MP3 player holders with wire concealment features and a large storage compartment, and the rear hatch has an easy-close (or available power cinch) function.
Venza is Toyota's first "car" with standard Star Safety System, which includes ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), enhanced Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC) with a cutoff switch and Brake Assist, which supplements braking power in emergencies. Also included are seven airbags--front, front-seat side, roll-sensing side curtains and a driver's knee bag--and front active headrests.
The standard engine, a new 182-hp DOHC 16-valve 2.7-liter four with dual VVT-i (intelligent variable valve timing), delivers more than acceptable performance at light loads and an estimated 21 mpg city and 29 highway with front-wheel drive (FWD), one mpg less with AWD. For towing (up to 3,500 lb.), heavier loading and/or satisfying uphill performance, you might want to opt for the much stronger 268-hp DOHC 24-valve 3.5-liter V6, which is good for 19 mpg EPA city and 26 highway with FWD, or a mpg less with AWD. Both drive through a six-speed sequential-shift electronically-controlled automatic transmission that matches gear selection to conditions and gives moderate engine braking on downhill slopes. The available AWD's Active Torque Control optimizes torque distribution between the front and rear wheels.
The Venza's suspension--MacPherson struts with stabilizer bars front and rear--delivers relatively agile handling with surprisingly comfortable ride. The electronic power steering (EPS) minimizes effort while delivering reasonably good feel. In short, it drives pretty much like a taller, roomier Camry. And much better, we believe, than Toyota's bigger, heavier, more truck-like Highlander.

A New Brand From Toyota?

Although Toyota is one of the leading auto manufacturers in the world, the late 1990's saw a shift of younger consumers away from the Toyota brand. This is not a new concept, as most car manufacturers have had to deal with this unique shift at some point in their histories. Industrial psychologists throughout the twentieth century have concluded that the issue stems from a natural need for human offspring to develop independence outside of the parent-child relationship. Studies show that younger consumers naturally make choices that allow them to develop a separate identity. Brand shifting is just one more way that the next generation establishes this unique identity.
In order to combat this, Toyota announced plans in the latter half of the nineties to lure generation Y back to the Toyota brand. The project was entitled Project Genesis. While the project itself was not successful, the Scion line grew out of this failed attempt.
The public got its first glimpse of Toyota's new concept car at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show on January 2, 2003. The xA and XB were the 2004 models that were displayed at the show. Toyota introduced the vehicles slowly. The cars were made available at just 104 dealerships and were limited to California only. The next year Toyota made the cars available nationwide. The Scion xB was unveiled in December of 2006. Scion currently has three models available to buyers in the United States. These include the tC, which is a three-door lift back, a five-door box shaped compact wagon and the xD, which is a five-door subcompact car.
Toyota has changed its sales strategy for the Scion line up, calling it Value Innovation. The concept is founded on key factors that include price, options, performance handling, confidence in buying and 21st radio. Scion has incorporated into its sales strategy a concept it calls "Pure Price" and monospec trim levels. The monospec allows for a wide selection of factory and TRD accessories.
The "Pure Price" strategy entails listing the price of the vehicle, whether on the car, in an advertisement of on a display board at the dealership. The price includes the vehicle, accessories, finance and insurance products. Whatever price is listed is what the customer pays. This removes any negotiation from the price. It was meant to entice buyers by offering a simpler and cleaner process that was open and balanced. The strategy is not a new one, having been used by both Geo and Saturn with mixed results.
The monospec strategy offers consumers only one trim level with the ability to make the car unique to the individual buyer. To do this Scion has joined with various aftermarket companies to give each buyer up to 40 different options from which to add to the vehicle. The success of this has yet to be determined and as some critics have pointed out, Toyota is taking an unusual risk in terms of its history of quality automobiles. Because aftermarket items have proven in the past to be of far less quality than the products that Toyota installs while vehicles are assembled in the factory, Toyota may be jeopardizing their to date sterling reputation for produce superior automobiles.

The New Toyota Land Cruiser

The latest 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser has a process tag of just over $70K. Westminster Toyota dealer says that is certainly a far cry from earlier Land Cruiser generations that were ultra basic and utilitarian. Inside, customers at Irvine Toyota dealers say the dash feels more like a bridge of a large ship than that of an SUV. There are endless gadgets and luxuries that the driver has to enjoy, even voice activated navigation, JBL sound system, and a wide range of other comforts.
For off-road enthusiasts, the Toyota Land Cruiser has nearly unmatched credentials. Not only does it have a history of off road capabilities, but the current Land Cruiser did not go soft despite having a more upscale attitude according to Cheyenne Auto dealers. Full-time all wheel driver, a locking differential, and a limited slips differential, the Toyota Land Cruiser can travel just about anywhere you would need it to.
Powering the current Toyota Land Cruiser is a 5.7 liter V8 engine, the same one that powers the Tundra, which produces an impressive 381 horsepower and is mated to a six speed automatic transmission. Despite its huge mass, and its hefty weight of 5920 pounds, Kingston Toyota dealers' customers have noticed that the big V8 will move the Land Cruiser without much trouble. In addition, the suspension helps move the Land Cruiser gracefully, but what isn't graceful is how much fuel is the Cruiser consumes. Mileage is about 13 miles per gallon in the city and 18 miles per gallon on the highway.

Best and Worst of Toyota Models For 2009

Toyota Motor Sales, the company's official name, promises a "commitment to the environment."
They currently carry three lines of hybrids, the Prius, the Camry, and the Highlander SUV with more plans on the horizon to develop more fuel efficient and alternative energy vehicles that are affordable and green.
We took a look at the 2009 lineup and found the best and the worst.
The 2009 Toyota Camry - The Best
Always a customer favorite, the 2009 Toyota Camry still doesn't disappoint and you'll get a quality vehicle for your buck.
Models we looked at were the LE and SE, both with manual and automatic transmission options and both with 4 cylinder 2.4 liter engines. Their LE/SE V6 models have 3.5 liter engines offer 6 cylinders and come with automatic transmission only. All models were equipped with front wheel drive and fuel efficiency was as high as 25 miles to the gallon.
Consumers simply "love to drive" this vehicle and its redesigned drivetrain is pretty powerful. It is also one of the most comfortable and luxurious family sedans on the market and offers a simple radio design and easy to use controls.
With plenty of room for everyone, this good fuel mileage vehicle is still an easy pick for the money. The models we looked at for 2009 range in price from the base at $19,000 to the higher end models at $25,000.
The 2009 Toyota Yaris - The Worst
Consumers say there's not much that's really unique in this vehicle except for its 30 mile per gallon fuel efficiency and for its class; some think this vehicle should be cheaper.
Models in this review were the Coupe and Sedan that both have automatic or manual transmission options, 1.5 liter engines and range in price from base at 12,205 to their S models for around $15,880.
Customers didn't like the little road feel and considerable roll these models offered up and complained about the interiors; especially the placement of the cupholders and lack of storage space.
The vehicle's exterior design is better than the Echo, the vehicle it replaced, and the Yaris has an economical engine and good fuel efficiency. Still, all in all, Toyota should have put a little more design and engineering for comfort and amenities in the Yaris as well as better quality; especially in body materials used.
Summing Up Toyota
Toyota will stay on the forefront of the environment and seek ways to make affordable hybrids and most likely in the very near future. Further, Toyota keeps their prices on their current models at levels that fall into the average family budget.
With so many models to choose from, Toyota continues to climb the ladder past the Big Three in some classes. Remember to get a Toyota extended warranty when purchasing your Toyota; they will extend the manufacturer's warranty and save you money at repair time because these vehicles tend to have long lives and can endure a lot of mileage.
If you decide a Toyota is right for you, make sure to buy a Toyota extended warranty to save you big bucks on repairs when the original manufacturer's warranty runs out. An extended car warranty company, Warranty Direct has been helping consumers for 28 years and can help you save hundreds of dollars on an extended auto warranty.
